Richard Terry, M.D.

Dr. Terry received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1975.

He is a member of the Nashville Academy of Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, The Southeastern Surgical Congress, and the Tennessee and American Medical Associations and served as past President of the Nashville Surgical Society. He is a clinical faculty member in the department of surgery at Vanderbilt University Hospital and past Vice-Chief of Surgery at Baptist Hospital.

He retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard serving as Colonel, chief flight surgeon and past Commander of the 118th Medical Group/118th Air Wing. He has received many honors and distinctions for his service to our country. Dr. Terry has staff privileges at Baptist Hospital, Centennial Medical Center, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
